I need some advice really, ive got a h-reg 1990 2.5 diesel discovery and a N-reg 1995 2.5 diesel discovery and need to change the gearbox from the h-reg into the N-reg, can anyone tell me if they are the same and will i need to modify anything??

Going to assume both are manual gearboxes. In which case, you will need to swap speedo housing and handbrake housings as they are both different between the two.....speedo is sendor on later box and worm drive on earlier box.

The actual mountings will also need swapping but you will find that all the bolt holes exists on both boxes so that is not problem.

Other than that it is a straight swap
