I recently bought 110 CSW and found out that it doesn't come with a jack. What sort of jack should I go for as I see Hi-Lift jacks in LRO but they seem bloody complicated for someone that hasn't used one before. So is it Hi-Lift, Bottle or Trolley jack?

little bottle jack for now... hi-lifts arnt complicated but they are dangerous in the wrong hands. not many people use hi-lifts for regular jacking. i made the mistake of just going out and buying one. but it does the job and comes in handy when your stuck offroad.

so trolley if you have a suitable surface or bottle if its limited. hi lift if your into the mud stuff.

I'm with Griffy. I was told by the bloke who sold me my 90 that the Hi-lift was the one to get, so I did, and have never used it in anger! I always use a bottle jack. Hi-lifts aren't difficult to use, just different!

I vote for the bottle jack too. You can get a small 6 Tonne one for £15 or so from Machine Mart, if you pop a couple of 12" bits of 2x4 wood, you can do almost anything!! The wood helps build up a bit of height when needed and will spread the load when jacking on soft-ish ground. They are also dead easy to use.
Oh, I would also get a pair of axle stands if you are doing anything other than changing the wheel. Most jacks are quite unstable (except trolley jacks) and hydraulic ones can fail. The consequences of skimping on £20 for a pair of 6 Tonne stands doesn’t bear thinking about.
Bottle jacks can be useful for other jobs too, I used one to jack the axle away from the chassis to remove a rear Rangie spring the other day, which got around the lack of a spring compressor.
