hi , new guy here, have a question, which landrover and rangerover gearboxes can i fit a pto to? i am not concerned with body or chassis problems. would be intending to fit a large-ish threephase generator.

also could anyone tell me what kind of power i could expect with a 2.5 turbo diesel, through the pto, in kwatts? or any units, even an educated guess?

particularly interested in range rover possibilities, and anyone that has done this on either a rangy or landy, or any help at all!!

cheers.

Theres a cover on the back of the 2.5 turbos' transfer box that comes off an you bolt the PTO on there, ant a clue about power an wot have you though.

shirley yer power output will be the same as power input less internal losses. so if yer static and not using any power to move the vehicle yule get the same as yer put in, ..

That is an excellent start thanks guys, so if it is on the transfer box, would that be fairly standard for all rang/landy of that time? what about auto`s is the transferbox the same?
oh and the plate on the transfer box, what does it look like?
cheers

here's a manky series one
