Does anyone know if the auto gearboxes in a V8 will go into a Tdi? I have been asking around & have been told variously yes & no. Some say they are the same, others that they have different ratios & are totally unsuitable.
Any definitive answers????

No both boxes are different, the V8 is a higher reving engine and therefore the ratios changing up and down and kick down speeds are all different.

I did suspect as much but have had a couple of people selling them insist they were interchangeable.
