Anyone have any previous experience of buying a steering column cowling/cover for a Defender its seems only a few places stock them and mostly at pretty serious prices ?

Alternatively anybody made a better one ?

think they changed slightly over the years but they aren't that bad. you can buy them from most places if you have the part number.. upper and lower

I got mine from lrseries.com , upper & lower for £27 inc postage.

I think I have a spare lower half lurking in the garage somewhere. What bit of Surrey are you in?

I too need a cowl, mine is missing completely.

Any idea on the original part numbers? I cant find one anywhere online...
