Your not wrong there I used a mirror on a stick thing to see what was what (top tip) then refitted the hose by feel then went and got the plasters to cover the scratches on the back of my hand.
it's held in by two (or three??) rubber mounts that you can see from underneath.. push them through and it will come out through the hole to the right of the one you can see it through (closer to the middle of the engine bay) I believe these holes come out of the factory covered in a rubber sheet so you may not be able to see them but the sheet is just held down by mastck or similar.. you can also test the pump once it's out by wiring directly to the battery +ve then earthing the other two pins.. if it's all working it will pull the throttle fully open then release when you disconnect.
