Hi all,

New (to me) 54 Plate TD5. A few niggles, used to Land Rovers so know what they are like.

This one has climate control which seems to be stuck in foot well only mode. Can't get it to direct any hot air to the windscreen, irregardless of whatever buttons I press. Anybody had similar issues?

Thinking of having to get in to the heater controls behind the dashboard!

Many thanks,

Julian.

Does the little indicator on the screen change from feet and then the air not to the same? Or is nothing happening at all when you push the button?

the climate control vent/ direction of fan is in the pass foot well, take the panel out or swing glove box right round on brackets, then you can see in there!

first of all run the manual diagnostic protocol on it, maybe it points you to the right direction

Thanks for the replies.

I'll be having a look tomorrow and will report back. I suspect a stuck heater flap or servo. All the buttons seem to operate as they should. The air direction is most definitely stuck on floor and face only. Pressing the window button switches on the front and rear heated window (as it should) and shows a window symbol in the display. Just does not direct any hot air to the screen which is good fun at this time of year!

Its been 10 years since I had my D1 300TDi and in those days (pre forums) it was a bit more suck it and see, so thanks for all the advice. Knowing LR's as I do I suspect I shall be on here as a regular!!! Love em!!

Julian
