i wonder whats got to be done to the one they buy? o rings, suspension, becm, slipped liners...................................
 
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the programme but roll up when he waxes lyrical on the profit margin - apparently his mechanic & workshop qualify as a charitable institution! 'Oh well it is only entertainment after all.
 
I noticed when they were doing the Disco, bought parts at quoted prices +vat but never included the vat at the end when totalling up!
 
looking forward to seeing it myself, was watching the old bently episode yesterday and was thinking when is the P38 episode running?

i really do think they will get a very soft one that will require some simple TLC. there will be no mention of BECM's or EKA's etc i reckon.

Still will be worth a watch.

did anyone see the "from wrecks to riches" episode with the P38? that was some serious work done on that. it was a cat B i think interior completely gutted my fire and interior and glass had to be changed, some body work Electrical work had to be done too. they they did an LPG conversion on it. was a cracking jammer when it was done.

well if he is a wheeler dealer isint he registered for VAT? i mean he never takes in to account either when he drives hundreds of miles and brings back a car on a brian james trailer!!!

yeah i remember seeing that one, when they bought it if you notice it had quite a high spec interior (full walnut, walnut/colour match leather steering wheel etc etc) and when then finished it they had put alot of the standard type trim in. also when the guy was going on about running his diagnostics through all the car it didnt look like a very special diagnostics tool he was using.

yep,i own the car that vicky butler-henderson road tested in that program,the car that was repaired was a cat c wright off,cat b is for parts only and can not be put back on the road.

Ahh my mistake, we dont have that system over here in Ireland but thanks for pointing it out.

saw the advert for the p38 last night, they've got a y reg 4.0 hse and i had a look at the tv guide and its says they have trouble with the sat nav to fix and guess what..................the suspension!!!!

Can't believe that, what could possibly go wrong with the suspension.:D:D:D
 
what a let down a 4.0

would have expected it to be a 4.6 really. so if its got sat nav im assuming its something nice like a Westminster or vogue?
 
Just seen another ad, Mike stood at the roadside with steam comming from the engine, of. The P38..... Set your remindrs ..... 2100 Discovery Chanel.
Should be good for a laugh.
