Are you sure ? .That amazing as i want the space for a subwoffer .So its no problem to take it out ?
I cant think of anything else there with a vent in it, post a pic an I'll be able to tell for sure if it is or not
Hello Clutchdust, Your O/S my NS, its not a woofer the space you refer to was used or can be used for a 12dc to 240 AC convertor unit, this was the case in the export model, some were fitted with just a blank box with vent, check out the excessorary in the RR manual and you will see.

It is a woofer on mine and the amp for the aerial sits on the top at the back.
Amp for areal ? mmmmmmmmmmm Somebody better help me out hear ..I want to remove the sub and replace it with a real one ,but dont know whats wired to what ,dont want to lose areal .Origanal head unit is long gone .I am fitting my own as well as my own speekers ..Any pointers would be helpfull

On my classic theres a silver module fixed to the top of the woofer which i'm sure i've read is an amplifier for the window aerial,if my crappy scanner would work i'd scan the page from the manual!
