Hi,

What are peoples ideas on this vehicle?

Looking at getting my first 110, For the snow and a bit of ofroad fun maybe getting more serious. Also for towing my Motorbikes around.

1994 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 300tdi csw

Is the vehicle, the mileage is 180k which to me sounds high, But then these are defenders. :D

I seriously appreciate any input :)
 
Looks alright to me for 4k
Have a real good poke around the chassis especially the rear crossmember
Look at the footwells from under the front wheel arches
Looking at the pic i would say the owner is an enthusiast

Impossible to tell from 2 exterior photos - as Lynall says it's all about chassis and engine condition

The only issue i have is that it's 110 miles away from me, I wonder if there are any forum members up that way who would mind having a looksee for me? :eek:
 
My 300 tdi 90 has over 180K miles on it and still runs a treat, but obviously things are starting to get old and tired, watch out for over heating, leaking p gaskets and blue smoke from the engine. Then its down to the usually rust issue and knackered bushes.
Make sure it is a genuine CSW some insurance companies are funny insuring them when there not. And a non genuine one is worth less it will tell you on the log book (it will say "COUNTY")
