l know what the answer will be on here, but l'll ask anyway!

I've currently got a 2022 Defender 90 Hardtop and (arguments about whether or not it's a "Defender" aside) it's an awesome vehicle.

However, today l've been offered effectively a swap for a 2015 110 XS SW
This Defender has only done 24,000 which is 2,000 less than my new one.

The chassis is the best l've seen, and the bodywork l can't fault.

l've no idea of the long term value of a 2015 Defender bought today at £40,000.

l imagine if it was looked after it would always be worth at least £20,000 where the new one will eventually be worth maybe £10,000 or less.

What has started to bother me is the repair costs on the new one, although mine has been faultless so far.
lf l keep it l would have to take out a warranty.

The old model has faults but they're rarely that expensive to put right.

It may be your early basic "New Defender" may be the best of the bunch. Recent reports of those sold in the last eighteen months of a good number are having costly repairs if it was not for the makers guaranty. Now extended to 5 years, I wonder why?

I would say swap it if it wasn’t for the shit engine.
