Following on from the Sandtrack thread I'm starting a poll to see if people would be interested in buying a set of waffle boards? If enough of you are I'll contact a few suppliers and see what prices we can get them for.

So vote now!!
for your required thickness and the max price you want to pay.

I want mine to be fenby thickness if that is possible.:p :p :p

Would it be worth buying some matting and chopping em down yerself?

Yea I've just emailed a couple of places and asked em to quote me for 8 full sheets at 50mm thick they're 3.6mtr x 1.220mtr so I reckon you'll probably get 11 to a sheet. so 44 pairs in total. I'll see what they say.

How many sets do you rekon you are gonna bang straight out?

what do you cut them with rehand? If you have some 12"x12" offcuts spare, i will have one off you for a hi-lift base :) im sure others would be interested in that too :D

G

ps. i can see this thread getting out of control like all the others, holidays to france, stickers i dunno!

Just had a price back. robbing bastids want £300 + dreaded +P&P per sheet. 50mm x 3.6mtr x 1.2mtr. That'd make em about £360 a sheet or £70 a pair. You can get the fookers for that much retail...

Cutting em is easy circular saw or a jigsaw will cut em no problem.

Where are they based pikey?

Aye but would still work out aound £350 a sheet. I reckon one of the 4x4 suppliers like tracmats etc would do em cheaper for a Bulk order.

I'll make a few more enquiries over the next week or so. See what I can sort out.

if you did decide to get the ones from essex i could pick them up for you i could even cut them up if you give me the measurements then it would just be a case of using the LZ courier service to distribute them
