So I got just under 200miles from home today and my trusty TD5's Turbo comited Suicide.
It's now back home, but my question to you all is this...

It says "It may sound different to standard Turbos" In what way do they mean?
I run a straight through exhaust and I've always loved the loud whistle my current Hybrid Turbo made on tick over and throughout the revs. Will this one be louder and have more "Turbo Sound"? Or will it be quieter?

Also, what other ones can you recommend? I want direct fit units please. I've seen a few but it's always handy to see what you lot have done for ideas :)

I've been looking around and it seems that one with their intercooler and manifold is the best option...
 
I don't really know wht you are looking for exactly but I bought one off ebay 7 months ago and it's brilliant.
They all whistle differently depending on how they are set up I think.
However if your handy with a circlip and a few nuts then this so much cheaper!!

It's where I got mine from and it works perfect!!!
Bloody cheaper than the whole unit too!!!
 
I've seen those yeah, so you still have the standard Turbo?

And I'm not after anything just trying to make a conversation...
 
Got a CRTurbos Hybride from Td5Inside cant complain at £850 for the turbo (exchange), remap and boostbox

Sweet, the one I was looking at is VGT, and comes with a boostbox for £860 it's also physically bigger I think. Down sides are I'll have to get a bigger inter cooler also ;/
 
Triple check the turbo will infact fit! I know some of the VGT/VNTs block easy access to the oil spinner filter!
 
It says on the Alisport website it's a direct fit, I'll email them to make sure, I didn't think of that!
