Hello,
I am new to the forum, so thank you for accepting my membership request.
There is a curiosity I cant seem to find an answer nowhere on the net.
S3 has a number plate on the left wing - DGM 16556 OM
What does this mean?

That's a new one on me, is it an ex military vehicle?

It served in military some time and it has some specials specs like galvanised chassis, freewheeling hubs and overdrive. Its quite beaten up, but in very genuine condition - only 20k on clock and first color (limestone)
But its not the standard ffr, as it doesnt have the raised spring hangers, its on standard chassis.

Google the numbers, I did and it came up with a couple of things in a furn langwidge. Not fluent in yurpeen myself but if you are it might make sense to you.

Think it might be a type approval thing.

My google doesn't show any relevant results on those numbers.

Looks like lots of different vehicles have them on the vin plate no idea what it means though

According to a similar plate number it describe Estate

A longer number between denote a Sedan
Another update do all vehicles get approved in Italy DGM xxxxx OM refers Omologazione
DGM Direzione Generale Motorizzazione

It's the Italian homologation number.

Thank you, that should be right, as the Series 3 was originally used in Italy
