I'm currently dismantling a 300tdi discovery as I want to use most of it for a project and the discovery in question came with this item bolted onto the bonnet in front of the windscreen. I have no idea what it is and haven't seen one before so was wondering of anybody knows what it is? Pics to follow

It's a light pod, Its for a defender and I think it actually replaces the hinges. Google Land Rover light pod and you will see a pic of one fitted to a defender.

Finally found it, it's a far corners hi lift jack mount with spot light mounts for on a bonnet

I wondered after what those long slots were for, thought hi-lift jack but never looked. Is it for a defender??

Sold as for a defender but fitted a disco perfectly well and I assume it would fit any 4x4 with a flat (ish) bonnet

£130 bargain............ Never understood why everything to mount a hi lift costs so much, yes this one is a bit more complicated and prettier but the straightforward bit of box/angle with wing nut stuck on it going for £50 plus is just daft
