Hi guys!
I’m new here, and hope you guys can answer this question for me!
Whilst in the works of restoring my defender 110 (the last defender garage i went to thought it was a G4). This front ‘bumper rail’ kind of thing, located under the front bumper and front crossbar, is severly rusted. I tried looking up the name for it and the importance of it for the chassis, but couldn’t find any. Maybe it’s my lack of proper english vocabulary when it comes to cars (i’m dutch). I just saw one picture of a G4 with the same bar but that was on Pinterest so that didn’t help much. I was wondering if any of you landy lovers can tell me the name of this thing, and if it’s okay to remove it? It’s unsavable because of the severe rust damage, so i’d rather just take the thing off!
Thanks so much for your help!
Kind regards
