if i built a defender from scratch with new chassis bulkhead panels etc and a engine from a write of what pre fix would go on the plate and if it was a q could you put a private plate on it
and would it be legal

It would need an SVA test and would go on a Q plate, unless it retained enough points from the donor vehicle.
You can't put a cherished number on a Q plate vehicle.

It would be a reet pain and kin expensive to build a new un from scratch you'd be better off getting a scrapper an using that for all the bits an bobs that you forget about an using it's registration details.

if it were cheaper than buying a noo or second hand one then i think everyone would have a home made from scratch one!!

ma 110 is further away fi being mot able than when a bought it
theres less cutting n welding in the forth rail bridge
