Did leak back test then changed injector number 1 as latest attempt to stop cold idle smoke.

When I took the old one out the chamber was full of diesel.

I think it may have done it but will have to see in the morning.

If it has worked then I still won't understand how it could run so well when warm, but a fix is a fix.

On an unrelated note I have put the soft top on my Hippo anticipating a lovely sunny week.
Every time I do this I imagine the designers laughing at how ridiculously awkward, fragile and fiddly it is to get it up and down. In fact if anyone has the 2 window panels sitting around please let me know as the zips are

Got put into restricted performance this morning travelling in so I'm anticipating some new hoses. Haven't yet looked, lunchtime looking busy

'Tis the same on my blue F1... flaky on a couple of the rear doors.
I still have a LR blue rattle can (forget the colour name) made up for it!
Can also confirm that mine (Cairns Blue - looks to be the same as @martin41076) is also peeling on the roof at the rear (big patch) and some smaller patches just above the windscreen.

Quick job with some spray primer and an artist’s paintbrush but I’d say it’s an improvement. Wished I’d got an aerosol for the paint part but hey ho, was trying to do a budget repair! I haven’t had chance to apply compound to smooth the edges yet.

This evening actually I’ve replaced the gear gaiter since the old pleather one was disintegrating.

Replaced the rear n/s door window regulator in my old F1 (now cherished by my daughter).

Easy job - old out and new in, all bolted back up again. Of course, being the smart man that I am, I thought to check it all worked properly before putting the door panel etc. back on…

Hooked up the door switch and tried it - nothing happened 🤔
So switch back off - ran 12v direct to the new regulator, all worked ok.
Checked the wiring in the door. Thought about how the wiring routes from fuse/relay etc. Scratched head for 10 minutes…

Then remembered that she turns the rear window switches off from the rocker on the drivers master switch panel, in case her dogs hit the button with a paw and let themselves out… 🫣

Am I reading this right, the drivers door rocker switch to stop the rear windows switches from working also stops the tailgate window switch working?

Drivers door rocker switch has no effect on the rear tailgate as far as I know, just the rear door switches.
Post edited to be clearer.

Spent the day doing checks around the rear diff seal and underside. Diff seal region often looked dirty and damp. The rear silencer box looked like it had been sprayed with oil mist at some point before I took ownership nearly 5 years ago. But no, the seal is clean and oil tight.

So I cleaned up the rear silencer and was shocked to see the evidence of it most likely being the original from 2005.

On another point, can anyone tell me what the hose I point to on right side adjacent to coolant tank in the engine bay is? And if your hose is flattened out like mine? Doesn't't look right to me 🤔

The flat hose is the PS return line, and yes they are flat. I believe the flat hose is some form of crude noise reduction system, there the hose can absorb noise from the pump or rack. Don't worry about it, unless it starts leaking.
