A word of warning:

One nut provided by paddocks for the U Bolts, PrtNos 543108 and 569028, just sheared off when I tried doing them up to the required 80Nm... I think it went at about 70Nm. The other one I left at 70. Dont want to try it, will wait for proper nuts to be delivered (I'll go genuine here methinks...)

Wwll Ive been waiting 4 days now for some parts , only to find out they havent even sent them yet but gave me a tracking number .....

I got fed up with them years ago; waiting for them to contact me or just sending the wrong stuff/not fit for purpose stuff, or not sending it at all.
So I use MM4x4 who seem a whole lot better in my experience.
I was in Derbyshire last October so actully visited Paddocks to buy over the counter some locking nuts for my new wheels. They took ove 3 months to arrive as they didn;t have them in stock. No phone call, email, nothing!
They had their chance, I'll go without, rather than give that bunch my hard-earned ever again!

So was it the nut that broke or the u-bolt?

The Nut. The round U bolt was ok. The square one too short, though I have to check again my axle No...

I didnt try to tighten the u bolt to the required 80Nm though! Now, as you mention it, I propably wont and will replace it with a -G one :doh:
