My son phoned me and said the diff lock warning light has come on on the td5 there is no diff lock I said, but there is a light said my son and it is on, but only when I brake, looked on line and seams to be a fuse or electrical problem tracking back through light, the owners manual says when serviced the dealer should check the diff lock works, but I have not got it , I or the person who bought it new have had to pay for it to be built into the car then pay for it to be checked, then have a warning light come on but can not use it, only landrover could come up with this and only landrover could come up with "if after servicing the light is on return it to the dealer as they have not turned it off"
why did they not spend an extra 20 pound when they built it so I could use it

Fuse F25 is blown... it's made on purpose by LR to bring on the diff-lock warning while braking if this fuse blows to warn the driver that there are no brake lights but they forgot to mention it in the documents, i deduced this from the diagram cos it has clear logic so i wonder why they didnt explain that... another LR oddity

Hi I read that it was the fuse but did not know it was designed to do that just thought it was some how track though this warning light, as it was a red light my son stopped as he thought driving it might do some damage, check hand book to see what it was, and it would have being good if the book had said, being a lot of rain here with water sitting on the road and think water got into rear lights
