ok,when stopped in D my 2002 TD6 is starting to transmit a vibration through the car,/ steering wheel but if I select P or N is perfect smooth as silk?
Any ideas?

Looking at other forums I think I have found the answer to this little conundrum, that of fitting a larger wheel so that incurrs harder tyres and hence vibration, but have also found that if back off brake pressure to that what is necessary then that reduces the vibes as well, or just pop in P
 
Was jjst about to say 'What size rims and tyres you got?'

But no need now....JLR issued a Tech Bulletin regards larger rims and lower profile tyres on the diesel L322's causing vibrations.
 
The answer is easy, just use the battering ram size of the Rangie and drive like expected and use it as a battering ram and do not stop, mission accomplished!
 
I remember when I did my apprenticeship in a bus workshop, the drivers would destroy torque converters sitting at the lights in drive. Oil everywhere on the road....
Pull up and stop, put it in neutral!:p

When I go to bordeaux, i go in my own bus, sod using a clutch stopping and starting at the many rows of lights, flick into neutral and back into drive.
Then squeezing it into the underground parking... That's fun! No, really it is.:cool:
