I managed to get hold of a couple of front half leather seats from an 05 Vectra GSI and thought i would post a couple of pics. Most of my research for retro fitting seats had all sorts of fabrication involved..... for these i used brass coloured M10 blind inserts (sorry unsure of correct tech description). They are the same as the original L/R threaded inserts;

The seats are a tight fit but i am 6' tall and 16+ stone (ok 17

the height at its lowest setting is fine and the runners at there furthest back are ideal but not much room for longer legs. The height is actually very close to that achieved with extra seat runners for the standard seat.

Chuffed with uber comfort but know i will be swearing when i next need access to the under seat box's.....

the truck is a 2001 TD5 110 DCPU (itg filter, egr removed, monster tuning chip remap, straight through exhaust).

awesome - i knew they would be a popular choice and way cheaper than exmoor jobies. Do u just remove the bolts for access to the seat box or have you been ingenious?

nice racing seats

..... i was thinking of using the original seats as office chairs but they go for a lot on the bay.
At the moment the gsi seats are on a 3 month trial.

I ran similar Vectra seats in my 90 for several years, John Craddock was selling them brand-new / boxed at a price too good to miss so I bought a pair.
My method of mounting was slightly different using a steel-plate bolted to the top of the seatbox (using Rivnuts) and four studs welded to this for the seat runners to bolt to. Stronger than the original set-up and looked very neat. Each seat & plate could be removed in under 5-minutes using a 13mm socket, a battery isolator was fitted (always have one on my LR's anyway) and an access panel in the side of the seatbox for immediate access.

Extremely comfortable (700+miles a day and then the same again the following day without any issues) and they really hold you in. In the end they had to go as my wife had trouble depressing the clutch fully (she rarely used the LR which is why I managed to keep them for so long) and the brand new OE ones have nothing like the same level of comfort or support.

the brass nuts you used are called rivnuts mate, very handy little things they are. I used the same things on mine

As luck would have it (murphy's law) I now need access to the ECU and relay's to resolve an issue. Seats are comming out and then getting wing nuts as suggested. Although defo like idea of socket and side access panel.

So far seats are amazing in comfort comparison with originals. And the long haired colonel likes em. Winner.
