I’m looking into some possible upgrades for my 2016 D4 HSE Luxury. Would it be possible for the D4 SDV6 to be upgraded / remapped with LR parts to the same spec as the D5 SDV6, which has 306bhp and more torque?

If it has full lr history, I would be very wary of messing with the engine in any way.

indeed, Don't thing it’s a very good idea putting extra stress onto an engine which already has underlying issues

Remap won’t improve MPG , also having to take into consideration of stopping such a heavy motor

Thanks for the sage advice. I'm very pleased with how it's running - 31K miles at the moment.

Lovely cars, but have a google for snapped crankshaft 3.0 sdv6.

One of the problems with the 2.7 and the 3.0 engines, is their low oil capacity even when the oil is at max mark on the sitck/gauge, and as usual people dont lift their bonnets to check anything, the oil gets low especially if it has not had the turbo oil return pipe mod done, and you can guess the rest!

The service intervals are also way to long.
