I've had a noise coming from the freelander for a while now which is driving me mad. It sounds like a brake binding. Just had new hand brake cable fitted as it failed m.o.t and thought that would cure it but it hasn't. It's most noticeable if you drive slowly then dip the clutch. I have A.T tyres so obviously there is some background road noise. Think my next step will be to check wheel bearings. Any ideas suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Could be any thing? Any ideas where is coming from? I have a noise to , my water pump is fooked.

always look for the simplest/cheapest thing first then work you way up, so wheel rim rubbing on calliper? brake pads on disk (just cos it failed don't mean diddly squat, they may have missed it)

Could be Ird vcu and rear diff all at the same time :)

Or could just be a rusty brake shoe with a stone wedged in it.

Could be the dust cover behind the disk rubbing? Really could be anything. Need to narrow it down abit.
