Evening all

I am building the front end up on my landy and have replaced the turrets with nice new terrafirma tubular ones.

The question i am wondering before i assemble it is, is it worth protecting the turrets with a form of paint or leaving them as is?

Mine are galvanised (both the tubular ones I am just about to remove and the new std spec ones about to be fitted) but I would never leave even galvanising to look after itself over many years of use so I treat with Waxoyl first. Works for me.
Many just have a gold zinc coating which is nothing like as resistant to corrosion so painting is a must.
