I read somewhere that a lot of earlier ( pre suffix F ?) transfer boxes had mods done to them by L/R to overcome the bad oil circulation to the mainshaft. L/R then daubed paint somewhere to show the box had the mod.

Any ideas what the virtual respray of my transfer box means? Its a 95 300tdi suffix E
