I have a 110 d reg v8 and it has a pto winch. The gear lever on the transfer box has the L scratched into a H and the H has been elongated into a L
I am not with the truck so cannot check but I guessed the boxwas knackered but is there any conceivable way it could be geared opposite and that it may be to do with the pto fairey winch?

I thought if people posted topics then people read them as a general idea of a forum.. Didnt realise i had to ask in my topic titles for people to read them..

I had an 84 110 V8 on an 'A' reg and that too was back to front, think it was the way the linkage was set up:)

high is rear ward low forward, the splined cam, linkage fastens to can be fitted on wrong way round ,reversing h and l

I figured some smart arse would see it as it's impossible to put a transfer box on the wrong way round hence please read. Oh and thanks for your help it's invaluable

I wouldn't bother Nobody reads your threads anyway.. :bounce:

Cheers guys I'll check next week when I'm with truck to see if it is incorrect and if so should I remove the linkage and spin it 180degs or just leave it alone?

Has the transfer box been changed to an LT230. early V8's had 4speed lt95 which had the transfer box built in, with a Vacuum operated difflock Dun't know which way round high low was but it could have been reversed???

Just a guess that last bit.
