with a 4x4 and at tyres why? They are guaranteed for life or until you use them
They are only two feet long - if you are stuck in mud or snow I can`t imagine many circumstances where two feet is going to make much of a difference, a farm gateway maybe.
I have four lengths of PSP that weigh way too much but are six foot long, waffle boards of equivalent length would be better (but PSP is fairly cheap - Anchor Suplies usually have some - the couriers love delivering it !)

I can't see the average car driver bothering or able to follow instruction number 2....
2. Clear as much of the snow, mud or sand around the driving tyres as possible.
If they could use a shovel they wouldn't need the traction tracks anyway.:doh::doh::doh:
