If i wanted to bolt a towing hook on the rear bumper of my disco (just for recovery when offroading) would i be able to or would it just rip out of the bumper when i tried to tow another landy?

Er, do you think you need a stronger mount for pulling an 'orse box on tarmac or heaving couple of tons of Landy out of the mud?
 
Bungee cords wud do...............if yer jest towing annuva Landy offroad, in the mud, when it's bogged down and stuck.
 
I just used sellotape!

(Lucky Trewy was there with summat a bit more substantial to do the job properly!!! - i've just ordered another one by the way so we should probably think about getting out there again in the next few weeks!)

Haven't you got a tow bar on it ? I thought they all had one.

Tis still fookin in there - they said they'd do it on Weds so i dropped it off Monday eve, phoned Thurs and they said they hadn't even fookin looked at it - lucky i didn't really need it over the weekend, feels like i'm missing a member of the family though! a fookin week for a poxy bit of weldin - useless - am getting increasingly fed up with useless people and broken promises! They've offered me a courtesy car so might take them up on it and see how it fares at Baldhu!
