Right, I have just awarded myself muppet of the year. Been doing electrics as dipped headlights not working so started at the switch and was moving along to see where the fault is.
All going well, switch taken out of panel and was checking each switch connection with meter and all is swell, I disconnected the battery to get the thing out, reconnected when I was testing it and then forgot to disconnect when put the switch back in, needless to say a few sparks later and now the sodding oil pressure light and charge light no longer work.
Have I killed them? Starts up fine and everything runs ok but I could have kicked myself for being a total plank, teach me for rushing to get done before nightfall.
