I think the fact it is being escalated is as much as you can hope for. The fact Watchdog are involved might help the decision. Watchdog were very good when I contacted them some years ago.

I had the same problem with my old Series III and the local tip. Because it was a truck cab it was classed as a commercial vehicle and therefore I was not allowed to use it to make tip runs. There was no possible negotiation. Rules is rules apparently unless you're mates with the people that work there of course).

This despite the fact that the amount I could actually fit in it was absolutely dwarfed by most modern people carriers!
