Noticed that there is a tiny little bit of moisture round the front head bolt on my 200 Tdi - drives fine, doesn't overheat, and the leak is practically insignificant - it's not losing coolant (well, it obviously is losing a tiny amount, but not enough to have made the level in the tank budge even a little in two months).

Is this a symptom of worse to come or can I just forget about it?

Fanks!

its most likely a sign that gaskets past best ,it would be worth thinking about changing it soon,15 years is a long time for a gasket

It's been replaced about five or six years ago according to all the receipts. Thanks for that, will keep an eye out.

Looking at things again, I'm being a bit of a dumbass with my terminology. It's the front valve cover bolt that has these symptoms, not a head bolt. Same diagnosis?
