Will drive away no issues, starts first time every time
Series 3 , 2.25 petrol 1980 88" land rover for sale.
I have owned this for about 6 months now, brought it with the intention of doing Rtv's with our local land rover owners club but after being once I have not had the time to go again so unfortunately it has to go up for sale otherwise it will just sit around not being used.
Tax- end of April
Mot- 13th may 14
As I had every intention of doing it up to top spec I have done the following :
( new parts )
Fuel pump
Weber Carburettor
Spark plugs
Ignition coil
Distributer cap and leads
Fuel filters and oil service
( used parts fitted)
Fuel cap and filler tube
109 extended 1 tonne shackles to slightly raise the back up
Dee stone military tyres on lwb rims
Bodywork:
The bodywork is in very good condition, there is two dents.
One on the passenger side rear quarter and the other on the drivers front wing.
Neither of these effect the vehicles abilities in any way and are just cosmetic.
All door locks work, blowers work and all lights work as they should
Structurally:
This is a very good example of a land rover, strong chassis. There is only 2 small holes of rust and they are photoed below. Both in non structural positions. Just need plating.
Drivetrain:
The gearbox is a little noisy but does select all gears and has never caused me any bother, is silent in 4th gear just makes a dull grinding noise in 1st/2nd/3rd, been told its the bearing wearing out and is common on these landys
