Evening all, I'm asking for a friend because I wouldn't contemplate a TD6. He has forward gears but nothing in reverse.I have mentioned cheese and fecked, in that order but any diagnosis welcome ta.
Cheers Henry, what's the fix ?This is often the failure of the TCC/PWM Solenoid
Cheers Henry, what's the fix ?
Cheers mate, so fecked it is.Valvebody rebuild..
Chances are however that the rest of the'box isn't far behind..
When the TCC PWM solenoid is energized and TCC signal fluid pressure is present, it strokes the TCC regulator valve and regulates line pressure into the converter clutch apply passaged Due to the pulse width modulation of the solenoid, the regulator valve is continuously oscillating/moving. Excessive wear at the large spool diameter can prevent proper valve movement, causing it to slip. Excessive wear at the balance end of the bore can lead to harsh apply. Additionally, the OEM valve stops against the TCC PWM solenoid screen, resulting in damage or breakage. Debris from the broken screen can lodge at the reverse lockout valve, resulting in no reverse.
Cheers mate, so fecked it is.
Not sure mate but it looks like its had a hard life. The GM box is fecked from the start
