hey guys i own a defender 110 td5 was wondering how difficult would it be to convert back to a 300 tdi i have access to a 300tdi engine and gear box i did some research and found out that i will have to change engine brackets on the chassis. can i reuse the td 5 box once i change the bell housing and input shaft my box is in really good shape , will the existing hydraulic system still work slave etc? i own a tig welder so i was thinking of reusing the inter cooler radiator assembly and just make up some plumbing to fit the tdi . am i opening a can of worms or is it pretty straight forward ? Ive got the wiring figured out just wanted to make sure its not a nightmare to do the swap i just purchased the vehicle with the td5 that has a hard starting problem , not a big fan of the electronics wanted a simpler engine to repair if needed off road , thanks in advance .

tecnically its simple.you may struggle with it ,id do it as a long term project indoors.

essentally its a chassis with wheels so yes.

props might mess you about a bit.

if the engine is mounted so it mates to the td5 gearbox in its origional position props wont be a problem...

I'll bung the td5 in my 300 then ;)

Ok so my iPhone skips back 6 months of pages????
