Hello everyone,

My discovery TD5 has devoloped a clutch slip/over revving problem.

At about 2000rpm if i put my foot down to accelerate harshly or sensibly i get alot of revs and no movement, if i keep my foot down the speedo eventually catches up with the revs.

Now the clutch is reasonably new. 10 months old covering 11k

Anyone else come across this? there are 2 of us with same motors suffering the exact same symptoms, none of our local garages can put their finder on it.

Could it be an adjustment issue on the master cylinder? we've both had new master and slaves done.

The issue is intermittent, i had it before i had my turbo done, then it dissappeared for a while, now its back and really beginning to annoy me!

Thinking maybe diesel or oil getting onto the clutch plate? or a setting problem or some desc?

any help appreciated, as always, crate of beer to anyone who comes up with the solution! :p

as you have said oil on plate.faulty pressure plate or springs.had this problem with my terrano clutch only done 6000 miles started slipping. although new turned out to be a faulty slave cylinder.there is no adjustment on clutch.
