Towed to LR dealer who replaced ACE and PS pumps and charged a large amount of money (can't remember how much - can't find the bill but it was A LOT) AND did the job so badly that one of the drive pulleys fell off on my next long run.

OK, probably not quite as bad for you, but when the handbook says don't drive it in this condition it MEANS it!
