Simple question really, will a front diff from a TD5 Disco 2 fit my 300Tdi Disco 1?

They're both 24 spline I think but I have a suspicion Land Rover will have fiddled about with the fitting bolts, etc. Having a spot of bother sourcing an actual 300tdi one but there seem to be plenty of TD5 ones lurking about on eBay.

A 300tdi tear doff will fit in the front as they are the same. Ive got a 300tdi diff in my garage if your near to crewe

IMO the td5 one will fit , only the flange is different, actually the rears are the same as fronts too

Thanks guys. The TD5 one does look the same, and both hubby and I thought the front and back looked the same too.
Haigy, the offer is much appreciated but unfortunately I'm a long way away from Crewe.
