Got a 2002 td5 auto.
The led lights that indicates gear selection is acting up.
From D N to R the led sometimes lights giving reverse gear. Sometimes the led don't light giving no reverse gear
Also from P to R led and reverse works fine.
Adjusted linkage but still get problem
Could the gear switch be the cause of the problem or is it something more involved ?

electrical, or switch could just need a good cleaning or contacts, where the wire plug into it
