When i did my first filter change on my TD4 i found when i took the filter top off that the large o-ring was at the very top, as high up the cover as it could go, so that when the cap was fitted the seal sits on the filter housing.(this is how i have fitted it ever since) Just done a filter change on brother in laws TD4 and we found the large o-ring was fitted in the groove just below the top of the cap so that when fitted the seal goes down into the housing. So which is correct, i suspect that mine is wrong:doh: as i have had some small leaks around the filter cap.
