Hi all I am just after a bit of advice on glow plug system on my 2003 td4. I have no light come up on the dash when ignition is turned on I think it could be a faulty relay as there is power to the relay through the big 100a fuse and there is power getting to the relay to energise the relay but the glow plugs do not activate. The glow plugs have all been changed and are all in working order. Would a faulty relay stop the light from working as it always did work. Any help will be much appreceated. Thanks in advance

Easiest way to check the relay is to swap it for another on of the same type.

The glow plug light doesn't come on if the ambient temperature is high enough. I don't remember what the temperature needs to be before it comes on.

I thought there was something wrong with mine, but now it is cooling down in the South East of the UK I see it on every day.

I have the same doubts about my glow plugs. My glow plug light does not come on like the rest of ghe warning lights oil batt ect should it and is there anyway to force the glowplug system to work in higher temps so it can be checked
