First major breakdown
The turbo went bang on my td5 defender on Friday on the way to the natnioals alrc at beaver castle.
What a bummer 3 miles from the site. my mate came from the site towed the caravan wife & dogs onto the site.
Recovered by the aa back home for 1am then used the wifes disco to get back to beaver castle next morning & then treated to a fly by from the red arrows as i arrivedTthere was no need to arrange that for me ha ha
Anyway back to the turbo sorted that today the impellar bearing was completly shot swinging around inside the turbo got a new one local supplier an original garrat new silicone hoses from craddocks and a secoun hand intercooler from irb developments tamworth £40.00 not bad the turbo £650.00 hoses £80.00.
Bloody hell expensive weekend but my first major breakdown since buying it 2004 so i cant knock it.
What caused it i dont know but alls good again.
