Has anyone a link to the specs about old (Nis reg) vitara, i.e. is it part
time 4 wheel dirve, can the axle diff be locked, ground clearance etc, you
can probably tell I know nothing about this stuff...

p.s. how do they compare with Daihatsu 4 tracks

thanks

Andy

they r a lot better than the 4 tracks but they do suffer from low ground
clearence, HOWEVER if you r willing to spend a bit on the susp side of
things they r are VERYU VERY VERY GOOD

Part time 4wd, no axle difflocks, rather limited ground
clearance.

Mechanical layout is similar but it's a different kettle
of fish. Fourtrak is a heavier, bigger machine and
much better at towing than the Vitara (compare
their rated towing weights). The Vitara is smaller,
lighter and probably a bit more nimble off-road.
