whilst under sisters disco i noticed a number on the offside chassis rail written in white marker, this appears to have been on from new. also on the nearside rail is the same no but written free hand in weld,this is on a L reg 300tdi any one any ideas, the no has no connection with the vin no, it is 1035

often the new welders at the factory couldn't remember the time of tea break, s'pose if yer a welder ya don't need paper!!!

how do ya know its been on there from new?

are u sure the chassis hasnt been replaced,and the numbers are purely the stock number written on it by the salvage breaker
