hi all, I’m in the process of fitting a disco 200tdi to my 86 defender. It’s didnt have power steering so I want to fit the disco set up. Do I need to change the drop arm or can I use the disco one with the disco front bar? I’ve seen the Gwyn Lewis damper plate kit but it’s un clear if I need to swap the drop arm. Cheers

If you use the disco drop arm you may need a longer steering bar.
Reason is you will be removing the 90 swan neck that the RTC damper attaches to.
Good bit of kit is that gwyn Lewis

Go for it, disco system is better as you will not have to replace the Grrrrrrr joint in 90 swan neck.
