Hi all. Whats the best steering box to put on a 1992 defender 90 (some ppl say 4 bolt some say 6) and best place to get?

both would do ,but 3 bolt is strongest ,then 4 bolt then 6 bolt so i would go for 4 bolt

Cheers JM, just had MOT, it didn't fail but they said it was weeping and wont pass next time, wheres the best place to get one?

i believe some one got one direct from adwest ,which would oviously be best place ,if your box isnt worn then new seal kit stc2848 for bottom seal or stc2847 for full kit ,bottom seal can be replaced in situ if drop arm is removed circlip holding seal removed and with container to collect oil under box engine started and steering turned till seal /washer etc are blown out ,recon boxes are available but i would google specialist rather than paddocks or other part suppliers
