hi, it there any difference between a 200tdi starter motor and a 300tdi starter motor as the one on my 300 is dodgy but my scrap 200 one is nearly new can they be interchanger! save some £££, thanks Chris

thats my next plan, hopefully get time time tommorow after work as the evening stay light enough to fiddle with landrovers till late!

Just so that you know, These starter motors may be the same (ERR5009).
On the 200Tdi it was part number PRC5109N up to engine number 12L50756 and then ERR5009 thereafter. If it was the ERR5009 on your 200tdi you are ok to use it on your 300tdi. I'm not sure if the PRC5109N is compatable for both.

Well thats all done and in this case they were the same, the old one was the origonal that had done 128000 miles and the one off the 200tdi had done about 2000miles ish, it was a much easer job on the 300 than the 200!
