I have an upcoming MOT and the SRS light is showing. I believe that it is a connectivity problem as it was a very intermittent problem before becoming permanently lit.

I read here that the 1st point to check is the connections under the seats. Do I need to unplug the battery for that? I understand that there is a process t disconnect the battery correctly listed in Rave?

The SRS wires are under the seats in a post 98 P38 encased in yellow plastic trunking. you do not need to disconnect the battery as long as you dont disconnect the cables . sometimes the connection is lost when you move the seat

mine does it when the seat gets moved iv never had an issue just unplugging the connector in and out again battery connected i do have the ignition off tho

Thanks, all fixed. I don't know which connector it was as I thought the light would go out when the connection was good. Needed a cycle of the ignition to switch it off.

SRS are all Yellow covered wires and plugs.

Sorry for the poorly worded response. I didn't know if it was the passenger side or drivers side that was the problem.
