Adz New Member Dec 13, 2006 #5 If it's the belt and it's been squealing for a while, then replace it - adjusting it will be a really short term fix. If it's only just started then you'll get away with adjusting it Cheers,

B bonnybaggot Active Member Dec 15, 2006 #6 If its a 300tdi its probably the bearing on the adjustment pulley cost 8 quid on E-Bay.When you remove nut to get at bearing it is LH thread.
