Anyone know how to stop squeaky brakes? I put new pads and disks on a while back and it stopped it for a bit but come back again. They are mintex pads which I thought were decent.

I posted something similar a week or so ago. Advice was a dab of copperslip between pad and cylinder. I used Mintex brake grease: Problem solved.

I did that when I fitted the last set

Did you fit normal pads or something hi-tech?
Are your discs excessively worn with too much run-out?

Disks are less than 8000 miles and look fine. Don’t appear to run out and pads were standard Mintex which I’ve never had trouble with before.
I wondered if it might be slide pins? They were ok when I did the disks. In the past I’ve always blamed it on overheated discs but as I say the disks look fine.
